Martial Arts for Life Chief Instructor, Master Rich Brugger has been training in the martial arts since 1993. He was promoted to the rank of Master Black Belt by Grandmaster Jhoon Rhee in 2005. He is fully certified to teach martial arts by the Martial Arts Teachers’ Association. He has written articles on family safety, health & fitness and parenting for ParentGuide News and the New Providence – Berkeley Heights PATCH. As a teacher of teachers, Master Brugger’s articles on best-practices for instructors and school-owners have been featured regularly in MA SUCCESS, the martial arts industry’s largest trade publication. He is also the author of A Parent’s Guide To Family Safety – A Common Sense Guide To Keeping Your Family Safe.
Martial Arts for Life was also featured in the February 2014 issue of SUCCESS Magazine. In the article, “Goal Driven,” our work with our students on goal setting, character education and life-skills is discussed. Martial Arts for Life was honored to receive a proclamation from the Mayor and the Borough Council of New Providence in 2015 recognizing our positive impact on the local community.
